about

The joke is here. Is it funny? The first time I saw these cats I drove them out to a show a couple of towns over. They played first and electrified and confused the crowd, the set climaxing in a chant of "Before they were championship EDM DJs!", which means nothing but seemed to feel like scripture in that moment. It was nihilistic but sure enough this band stayed around long enough for me to dub the punchline. Sit in your room and listen to this. What does it mean to you? Is it a bunch of college town freaks making cartoon music, snickering at the idea that someone who geniunely sit down with headphones to try to make sense of the "PEE ON THESE HANDS" album? Or is it something more sincere, like the showcase of absurd performance honed over years of playing together, and you're invited to partake in the absurdity? I know the answer, and I can promise you that if you buy this tape you will know even less than you do now. Contains drums, guitars, bass, and vocals.
